Location
Ilhéus is located almost in the middle of the Bahia state east coast at the mouth of the Rio
Cachoeira river that ends up in the Atlantic Ocean. A bridge connects the centre and north of
Ilhéus with the southern neighborhoods like Pontal, where the airport is situated.
The distance to Salvador (north of Ilhéus) is 458 km while Porto Seguro (south of Ilhéus) is
315 km.

Coming from Salvador – access the BR-324 until
the BR-101 (direction Itabuna); BA-262 until Ilhéus.
Coming from the south – access by BR 101 to
Itabuna; BR-415 to Ilhéus. |
