On the 28th of June 2000, on the birthday of this city, in presence of the president of
the national
congress, Senator Antônio Carlos Magalhães, the governor César Borges
and secretary of culture
and tourism Paulo Renato Dantas Gaudenzi inaugurated the Centro de Convenções Luis Eduardo
Magalhães.

The Centre has a capacity of 2.425 places simultaneous in auditorium, which offer all of
the comfort and technical support necessary. Spaces with air conditioning and complete
services.
The building has a harmonically and well equipped structure ready to receive conventions,
expositions, conferences, receptions, concerts and shows.
